The initial task here was to create a 'font selfie', basically meaning a font style that represents you and your interests etc using the first letter of your name. For this one I completely decided against using any actual fonts as a starting point and instead went straight in to creating imagery. Since my primary passion is photography, that is what I based this on. With only 45 minutes to complete the task, I had to think of something simple and easy to illustrate, hence I've only used 3 key objects to create this letter 'A'. The camera itself accounts the upper portion of the letter as the lens also acts as the hole, where the tripod attachment makes up for the bridge between the stems. The stems of the letter are then representing a closed tripod on one side and a lens on the other. Since I have a very distinct sketchy style in my artwork and I particularly like black and white media, that's what I stuck to here, using only fine-liner and a white pen.
